Mediano Postural Support System

Mediano postural support system offers an anatomically shaped wider support which is highly adaptable for a range of users.

Inserto’s Pelvic Total Support (PTS) system is beneficial for users who have postural deformities and an increased need of postural containment. The distribution of pressure provided by PTS reduces mechanical stress on deep tissues and therefore significantly aids the prevention of ulcers. This cushion can specifically support:

• Leg length discrepancies and/or windswept position
• Pelvic obliquity, rotation, anterior and posterior pelvic tilt
• Stabilising the Ischium
• Support trochanteric coccygeal-sacral suspension
• Users at medium risk of developing decubitus sores

The Mediano cushion is suitable for use with most wheelchair bases so long as its suitably fixed to the base.

Available in 11 base sizes the Inserto Mediano postural positioning system can support users from childhood to Adult. The cushion is made up of a flat base structural kit constructed of 16 or 17 closed cell polyethylene inserts which allows for individual configuration, over this two layers of form are placed to provide comfort and protection from ulcers. On the anterior section an open celled foam enhances the natural position of the thighs.

The 3D cover offers the best immersion and incontinence resistance whilst still allowing for ventilation. As the cover in anti bacterial it does not require the use of disinfectants when cleaning. The padding  and cover can be washed with gentle detergent.
